The company, which produces and sells high-tech products for people with disabilities, had grown organically both in Europe and the US but was also a spin-off from another larger company. So they needed a new HR system to coordinate all their personnel data and HR processes globally.

Initially, the company had no HR system and used various small payroll systems depending on which country the subsidiary was in. After the project, for which we were the project manager, Workday was implemented for HR processes and payroll in the different countries.

When the company needed external help from someone with expertise in Workday implementation and good knowledge of HR processes and HR master data, Rededge was hired to lead the client's project team and act as a counterpart to the system vendor. By following Workday's rigorous methodology and building rapid decision-making within the customer's HE function, the project was completed on time.

The project achieved the client's goal of harmonising personnel data and HR processes globally.

Conclusions
Because the client realised that successful implementation required expertise in leading the client's own project team, the project stayed on schedule. In addition, the client was consistent in recruiting for new management roles that were initially understaffed.
