The industry is undergoing a strong transformation due to macro trends such as electrification, digitalisation and sustainability, which among other things leads to changing customer needs and fewer fuel customers. Car rental is seen as a business area with great growth potential.

The company currently has a proprietary system that has been developed over the past 20-30 years. Due to limited opportunities to further develop the proprietary system, the company chose to replace the system with a market-leading, cloud-based platform for car hire.

The solution offers an integrated car rental system and a fully digitised experience for both customers and station staff. The system includes integrations with underlying payment and transaction systems, identity management systems and systems for dynamic pricing,

The company is now prepared to take the next step on its journey to become a complete mobility service provider for both private and business customers. The goal is to eventually offer a complete self-service experience for selected customer segments.

The project was one of the most important strategic initiatives for the Swedish market, which is currently the only market where the company offers car rental services, but which the company now wants to scale to the rest of Europe. An important success factor has been a clear goal/vision of where the company wants to go in the long term, as well as a partner who clearly understands the goal and has the ability, both in terms of systems and support, to work with the company to set out the path to the goal.
