A large customer of Rededge in the manufacturing industry wanted to harmonise their HR processes across borders. With factories in several continents, there were major challenges in finding a "unifying" system support that could handle the consolidated list of requirements but also country-specific legal requirements and regulations such as GDPR, US payroll payments, etc.

HR processes were mainly managed by outdated systems with many manual processes outside the system in the form of paper and Excel. The new system support for the HR processes was implemented in Oracle's Fusion. Since the company already used Oracle in purchasing, finance and production, there were clear advantages in also utilising functions in the HR area. The HR solution included HR Core, Goals & Performance and integrations to 3rd party payroll systems.

Solution
The basic solution that was implemented was based on the overall requirements that had to be weighted and anchored with all the countries involved. Where specific regulations and legal requirements existed, this was done with country-specific configurations.

The solution resulted in simplified procedures and a centralised employee register, increased automation, improved reporting capabilities and accurate data in accordance with GDPR regardless of staff changes.
